RightRec

RightRec is a utility developed by DSI that allows  an enterprise to comprehensively manage a data design within CSF Designer.

RightRec Process Flow

The RightRec GUI uses the CSF Designer data design to automatically author the necessary source code for the interface program.

The RightRec Run-Time module guarantees that the interface program is synchronised with the most current document design, and ensures that fields and records required by CSF Designer are created correctly. RightRec also generates the input files in XML or delimited formats and facilitates files splitting and sorting.

Migrating an existing CSF interface program is a simple replacement of the current AFAPLINT call.  

Developing new interface programs is also easy, as the RightRec GUI authors the copybooks and sample code required.    

Data integrity is a vital issue for high volume document composition. Delimited files are very compact, but have no embedded metadata to ensure their structure is correct.

RightRec validates the data design at run time to ensure that the interface program matches the data design used in the production document.
